We recognise that people sometimes take personal risks to get information to us. Any information you send us will be treated carefully, and in confidence.
After you send information, it will be passed to our editorial committee, where we’ll decide what our next steps may be. If we decide that we need more information we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
All the information we receive is carefully considered, even if we can’t always use it directly in a story straight away.
Whilst we try to get back to everyone who sends us information, we do have limited editorial resources. During particularly busy periods we can struggle to provide everyone who gets in touch with us with detailed responses on the story tips we are sent. Please therefore do not be disheartened if you do not hear back from us, or if we are unable to to publish a story using the information you have sent us.
