The launch of our second investigation is just a few weeks away, and so it's time to consider what we should investigate next.
You can vote on the shortlist of four topics we've already got below.
NOTE - we've been running the same poll over on our droppings blog. We plan to add the votes together from these two places - so if you've already voted please be good and resist the temptation to vote twice.
As Holyrood takes on more and more responsibility, who is trying to influence our politicians behind the scenes? And how are they doing it? Whatever the balance of power after the Scottish election in May, who are the movers and shakers in the new Scottish establishment, what do they want and how do they intend to get it?
Housing and Homelessness
Austerity promises to challenge public services on both sides of the border, and inequality is rising. What does this mean for the housing sector in the UK and the people who have none? What can be done to tackle the growing housing crisis?
How are we feeling today? Many people feel that mental health is not treated with the priority it deserves. Are our lifestyles and work places making us ill? Where are the gaps in services? What can be done to fill them? And who is responsible for making us feel better?
Privacy and state security
Terrorist attacks around the world have focussed minds on what the state must do to keep its citizens safe. At the same time, concerns over state snooping on ordinary people continue to be raised. What are the threats? Are our security services watching the right people? Has our government got the balance right between civil liberties and regulation?
